Migration has increased significantly in Europe, but migrants are avoiding the Hungarian border, György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister said on the public service television news channel M1 on Thursday.
The number of migrants arriving in Italy from Turkey on the Albania-Bosnia-Croatia-Slovenia route has increased, but they are not attempting to cross the robust Hungarian legal, physical and live-force border fence, the expert said.
The reason for the Brussels attacks is that Hungary does not support the “ambitious” European plans regarding migration, the security advisor observed.
He added that meanwhile, according to news reports, migrants applying for refugee status in Western Europe go to visit their families in their home countries from money provided by the EU.
