According to the Prime Minister’s chief internal security advisor, Jean-Claude Juncker’s activities as President of the European Commission cannot be considered successful, as during his tenure millions of illegal immigrants have entered the European Union, thus weakening its security. Brexit is a further indictment of Mr. Juncker’s record, the advisor said.

On the M1 news channel on Wednesday György Bakondi was responding to Jean-Claude Juncker’s statement that Fidesz should be expelled from the European People’s Party. Mr. Bakondi said that the opinion of the Luxembourgish politician is “not authoritative”.

He stressed that there are grounds for hope that after the elections to the European Parliament the new commission will be able to put a stop to the processes which are seriously degrading public security and “Europe’s cultural future”.

He also described the Hungarian government’s goal in its latest campaign as informing every Hungarian citizen about “what is being prepared” in Brussels. Referring to the planned increases in funding for NGOs and so-called “migrant visas”, he added that some of the plans have been made public in the form of Brussels’ decisions, although “they have denied this”.

In Mr. Bakondi’s opinion, efforts by Brussels in recent months suggest that it wants to sanction any country which opposes liberal policies and the “Soros plan” for immigration. He described this as manipulative pressure.

On the Government’s latest information campaign poster, photographs of Hungarian-American businessman George Soros and Jean-Claude Juncker appear above the following slogan: “You, too, have the right to know what Brussels is preparing. They want to introduce mandatory migrant settlement quotas. They want to undermine the rights of Member States to defend their borders. They would use migrant visas to facilitate immigration.”
