Mol Hungary, too, is helping to supply hospitals with disinfectants, the managing director of the state-owned oil and gas company announced at the Wednesday online press conference of the operational group responsible for the containment of the coronavirus infection.

Péter Ratatics said in Mol’s Almásfüzitő unit they will start the production of a chemical that is equally suitable for disinfecting surfaces and human skin, manufacturing 50,000 litres per week.

He added that the chemical will first be distributed among hospitals, priority public institutions and large-scale users, while according to plans, in two weeks’ time, the product will also be made available in retail outlets.

The production of the next three weeks, in three shifts daily, will be sufficient to cover the entire country’s disinfectant needs for two to three months, said Mr Ratatics who also thanked the government for its cooperation.
