According to the Prime Minister’s Chief Security Advisor, there are more and more anxious statements in Western Europe, France, Italy, Holland and some Scandinavian countries concerning the migration situation that has developed.
Speaking on Kossuth Radio’s “180 Minutes” program on Tuesday, György Bakondi said illegal immigration was a major challenge for political and economic systems.
The Government’s goal is to stop mass migration, to reinstate the rule of law along the border and to put an end to “doublespeak”, he stressed, adding that the Hungarian standpoint is becoming increasingly accepted among European political leaders.
With regard to the case of the Iraqi man who was apprehended in Hungary after committing assault in Germany, Mr. Bakondi highlighted: “This was not the first time that Hungarian police or border guard units have caught a wanted criminal”.
Speaking on M1 Hungarian television’s Tuesday morning current affairs program, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister said that according to secret service reports even more illegal immigrants are expected to arrive at the country’s borders in the spring.
