The Hungarian National Flag was hoisted with military honours on Kossuth Lajos Square in front of the Hungarian Parliament building on Friday morning in Budapest to mark the 59th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and fight for independence.
Following the hoisting ceremony, which was witnessed by several hundred spectators, the Hungarian National Dance Company gave a commemorative performance on Kossuth Square.
