“New major Balkan illegal migration routes have evolved”, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister pointed out on Hungarian M1 television’s Wednesday morning current affairs program.
György Bakondi said movement had picked up along the Greece/Montenegro/Bosnia-Hercegovina/Croatia/Slovenia/Italy route, and to some extent also along the Serbia/Montenegro route.
According to the Chief Security Advisor, the fresh warning issued by Frontex indicates that Brussels is also viewing the Balkan developments with concern.
Mr. Bakondi also spoke about the fact that according to some Brussels statements mass migration is unavoidable, and is in fact necessary, and it is Europe’s duty to admit as many migrants from Africa as possible.
“The Hungarian Government does not share this position, and in view of the political changes that have occurred among Europe’s nation states ‘we are not alone’ with this opinion”, the Chief Advisor noted.
