The Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister believes that with the “Stop Soros” legislative package Hungary is planning to take an important step concerning security.
On Tuesday György Bakondi said on the public service television news channel M1 that those who receive funds from unknown foreign sources and help and organise illegal mass immigration in a given country pose a risk to security.
In other words, this is an issue of national security, and therefore high-level regulations are required which provide for the transparency of such organisations, the licensing of their operations, the issuance of restraining orders and their obligation to pay a duty, he added.
He said a number of countries in Europe may well heed the recommendations that Hungary has made several times since 2015, the practical measures with which it has managed to guarantee internal security and the steps which serve to protect the country’s sovereignty, and perhaps even a new way of thinking may gradually unfold which treats security with the priority it deserves.
