According to the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, the EU’s bureaucratic apparatus and countries interested in immigration do not care about the security risks of migration.

György Bakondi has told Hungarian television channel M1 that this is what the EU’s new plans on tackling migrants reflect. Mr. Bakondi believes that this also shows that the EU and its Members States, which support this, regard these plans as long term solutions, but they do not consider either people’s opinion shown at elections or security risks.

However, one important lesson drawn from the process is that security cannot be downgraded, people’s safety must be guaranteed by the state, and it is only then, that those in need should be provided help.
