According to the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, the European Union’s migration-related measures and conclusions are not in harmony with the interests of the Hungarian people.

Speaking on Hungarian M1 television’s Wednesday evening current affairs program, György Bakondi said the theories according to which immigration doesn’t need to be dealt with have proven to be incorrect.

“The EU believes migration is a fundamental human right, but according to the Hungarian Government it can be no such thing. The Cabinet’s position is that the borders must be protected and problems must be solved at their place of origin instead of being brought into Europe”, he said.
