According to the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, during the development of migration policy the European Union should consider the political changes that have taken place on the continent.

Speaking on Hungarian M1 television’s Sunday evening current affairs program, György Bakondi mentioned the results of the elections in Italy, one of the founding members of the EU and its third largest economy, as a concrete example.

According to the Chief Security Advisor, the political changes and political statements are increasing being aimed at Brussels “in a critical manner and with the intent to achieve change”. More and more countries and politicians are expressing criticism of EU migration policy, explained Mr. Bakondi, according to whom the European Union must also act to realise the protection of its external borders as soon as possible.
