“What is at stake at the April general elections is the Hungarian future, whether or not Hungary will be an immigrant country”, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister said on Hungarian M1 television’s Saturday evening current affairs program.
György Bakondi spoke about the fact that several European countries have been forced to change their immigration policies in view of the fact that the security situation has changed, and as a result so has the opinion of voters.
“The European Union is continuing to insist on admitting migrants”, he added.
“However, Hungary’s standpoint is unchanged: illegal immigration must be stopped, economic migrants and refugees must be differentiated, and neither job market issues nor demographic problems should be solved using migrants, but by reinforcing Hungarians families”, Mr. Bakondi said.
