According to the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, the leaders of the Brussels bureaucracy are attempting to do everything possible everything in the interests of legal migration prior to the European Parliament (EP) elections.

Speaking on Hungarian M1 television’s Thursday morning current affairs program, György Bakondi said that in the time remaining until the EP elections, EU leaders are attempting to make the population of Western Europe even more sensitive to immigration.

“They want to make people believe that people who arrive legally are needed, and that they will not commit any major crimes or acts of terrorism”, he added.

“The leaders of the Brussels bureaucracy have already declared that there is no such thing as illegal migration, and that accordingly there is no need to protect the borders, and in fact the existing fences should be demolished”, he stressed.

“The essence of the proposals that have been put forward with relation to migration in recent months is that they would like to strip migration of its illegal character, and this is also what is being served by the migrant visas and anonymous debit cards”, the Chief Security Advisor said.

Speaking on Kossuth Radio’s “Good Morning, Hungary!” show, Mr. Bakondi said with relation to the migrant caravans being organised in Greece and Turkey: “They are attempting to set out at a very bad time, because by now it has become clear to the people of Europe that there are masses of people who are approaching Europe illegally, unlawfully, and in a manner that represents a threat and has serious consequences”.
