“The negative effects of the migration process that has been ongoing since 2015 have become commonplace in Europe”, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister said at a press conference in Budapest.
György Bakondi explained that over the past two years two million people had arrived in Germany alone and 9 thousand acts of terrorism had been prevented in Europe, while 330 had lost their lives and some 1300 had been injured in a total of 27 terrorist attacks.
“The negative effects of migration also affect Hungary”, the Chief Security Advisor stressed, citing as an example the fact that Hungarian heavy gods vehicle drivers had been threatened with a knife on two occasions recently and a group of young Hungarians were attacked in a motorway layby near Mohács.
“Just one of these acts should be enough for the European Commission to review its existing migration policy”, Mr. Bakondi declared, adding that in the meantime the Hungarian Government has been consistently enforcing its measures and laws aimed at assuring security in the interests of protecting Hungarian and European citizens.

He highlighted the fact that the Cabinet is currently attempting to prevent the incalculable security risks that the implementation of the Soros Plan would mean for Europe via the National Consultation, i.e. by asking for the public’s opinion.
Mr. Bakondi detailed the events that occurred in October within the field of migration and terrorism that could raise public fears.
He mentioned as examples the fact that in the first week of October Denmark send soldiers to its joint border with Germany to stop illegal immigration and the significant extension of the technical border barrier between Slovenia and Croatia, while in the meantime a knife attack occurred in Marseilles, five people planning a bomb attack were arrested in Paris and one of the Islamic State’s recruiters was apprehended at Brussels International Airport.

The Chief Security Advisor also said that in the previous month it had transpired that migrants has assaulted the staff of the immigration office on 2875 separate occasions and that Europe could expect the return of some 5 thousand fighters following the military defeats suffered by the Islamic State.
Mr. Bakondi said the most dangerous migrants were followers of Salafism, whose numbers had exceeded 10 thousand this year. He also said that 705 Islamists are being kept under round-the-clock surveillance on suspicion of preparing to commit terrorist attacks, and the authorities are aware of further 1800 potential perpetrators.
According to the Chief Security Advisor, another potential source of danger is the fact that according to British interior ministry sources there is no information concerning the whereabouts of some 56 thousand foreign persons who have been expelled from the United Kingdom, while in Germany there is no trace of some 30 thousand rejected asylum seekers.

Meanwhile, “the war between migrant gangs in Denmark is becoming untenable”, he said, adding that for this reason the Danish Government has issued a special action plan and is asking citizens not to enter areas that are inhabited by immigrants after dark.
Mr. Bakondi also stated that despite efforts to close the Balkan migration route, the arrival of people who represent a security risk is continuing in view of the fact that this year over 150 thousand migrants have arrived in Europe via the Mediterranean, of whom 113 came ashore in Italy, 24 thousand in Greece and 18 thousand in Spain.
