Following the armed attack in the Turkish capital, in which the Russian Ambassador to Ankara was shot dead, György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, has told Hungarian television channel M1 that Turkey’s stability is in the interests of Hungary.

Mr. Bakondi pointed out that Turkey is a large and strong country where, however, there are 3 million refugees, and its internal security situation is complicated. Yet the country is an important ally in NATO and an important partner to the European Union. He added that this is why every effort must be made to sustain this stability, in the hope of political support and economic cooperation.
