“The wave of immigration could include more and more people who represent a direct threat to European internal security”, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister stressed on Hungarian M1 television’s Wednesday evening current affairs program.

György Bakondi said: “There are around five thousand European Union and Bosnian citizens who travelled to fight for the terrorist organisation that calls itself the Islamic State”. “These people received military training, took part in fighting, and have been involved in committing acts of terrorism. Their return represents a never before seen threat to the security of the European people”, said the Chief Security Advisor, according to whom the situation in Bosnia is even more risky than average in view of the fact that significant numbers of migrants have arrived there in recent weeks.

Mr. Bakondi also highlighted the fact that it would be an important step if those “loud-voiced statements”, according to which the external borders must be reinforced and mass illegal migration must be stopped, were not only to appear in political speak, but also in reality in the countries of Western Europe.
