“At the summit of the leaders of the European Union’s member states, we succeeded in having adopted the endeavours that are important to Hungary”, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister György Bakondi declared on Hungarian M1 television’s Friday evening current affairs program.
Mr. Bakondi said that the EU’s strategic goals adopted for the upcoming term include, amongst others, the reinforcement of border security and the provision of assistance to countries that are in trouble.
The Chief Security Advisor stated that those who “became known for undertaking a political role in favour of migration and attempts to repress nation states” have not been nominated for the leading positions of EU institutions.
“Hungary was consistently against the idea put forward by certain commissions of the previous European Parliament, according to which the migration crisis should be solved by legalising illegal immigration”, Mr. Bakondi said.
