We must do our utmost to protect our citizens, and securing the borders is one of the first steps in the line of these efforts, György Bakondi said on the public service television news channel M1 on Tuesday evening.

The Prime Minister’s chief advisor for internal security said: we must achieve that only those should be able to enter the European Union whose identities have been verified and who do not pose a threat to the European people’s security.

In answer to a question, he also pointed out that there are non-governmental organisations in Hungary, primarily those sponsored by György Soros’s foundation, which are engaged in various political activities.

These organisations often support migration, or as the case may be attack the Government, he added.

The Government seeks to achieve the transparency of the financial backing of these organisations, he said.
