On Friday György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, told Hungarian television channel M1 that in recent weeks and months Western Europe’s internal security situation has deteriorated significantly: public security indicators are declining, and there is an increasing trend in assaults on women and acts or attempted acts of terrorism.

Mr. Bakondi said that previous government statements have proved valid, showing that there is a strong link between uncontrolled illegal mass migration and public security. He said he believes that it is shocking that there are areas in Cologne which have come to be seen as dangerous for women.

Mr. Bakondi also said that a percentage of migrants can be considered victims from many viewpoints: they are victims of their own governments, of terrorists, of people smugglers and of a misguided migration policy which would result in them being sent to Hungary.

The Chief Security Advisor also said that Hungary will only readmit migrants who first entered the territory of the European Union in Hungary: for example those who set out from Kosovo, Albania or Bosnia-Herzegovina. He added that, in accordance with the readmission agreement, such people will be readmitted by Hungary and taken back to their countries of origin.
