On Saturday evening György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister told public television channel M1 that as long as Europe does not conduct border controls, neither the planned changes, nor the planned mechanism of distributing migrants will solve the problems in the field in internal security.
Mr. Bakondi added that the most important element of security is for authorities to know who is arriving in Europe.
Last year, 1.5 million people arrived in Europe, which has put great burdens on secret services. This is why the case of the Syrian man could happen; after being expelled, the man remained in Europe and finally blew himself up.
Mr. Bakondi also said that between 14 and 26 July, an unprecedented series of terror attacks took place in Europe, in which almost one hundred people had lost their lives. This also proves that the Islamic States takes the war it declared on Europe seriously, he added.
