In Veszprém at the kick-off event of SUPER – Series of Events Preparing Successful EU Project Proposals – Deputy State Secretary for EU Development Policy Communication at the Prime Minister’s Office Nándor Csepreghy announced that no successful development policy can be built without involving the Hungary provinces.
The Deputy State Secretary stressed that the capital is very important in terms of Hungarian economic development, but without the success of the provincial economy, a country cannot be successful in itself.
Mr. Csepreghy said that the 2014–2020 EU development period can be regarded as a last chance: in the light of current issues in the European Union, it is more than likely that the common development policy allocation after 2020 will be significantly lower.
He also pointed out that the first calls for proposals in the 2014–2020 cycle have already been announced. Last week calls worth HUF 83 billion were issued, including for projects for capacity development and the acquisition of equipment.
