Everyone will bear the consequences of the referendum for generations to come, and if the Hungarian people make the wrong decision now, it will be beyond repair, Zsolt Semjén, President of the Christian Democratic People’s Party (KDNP) told journalists on Sunday after he cast his vote at the II. Rákóczi Ferenc Secondary School in the 2nd district in Budapest.
Mr Semjén highlighted: this is not like an election where we shall elect another government in four years’ time.
Not only we ourselves, but our children and grandchildren, too, will have to bear the consequences of what we are to decide on now, the Deputy Prime Minister said, adding: on this matter there is no such thing as a right-wing or left-wing voter.
The President of KDNP also said: he has faith in the Hungarian people’s „common sense and self-defence reflexes”.
