The Government of Hungary has welcomed with relief the fact that after 70 years, Serbian legislation has finally been introduced to rescind the law stating the collective guilt of the Hungarian population of the towns of Čurug (Csúrog), Žabalj (Zsablya) and Mošorin (Mozsor).
We welcome today’s announcement by the Serbian Prime Minister in Subotica (Szabadka) and his tribute to the innocent victims executed in 1944-45, which is a symbolic station of Hungarian-Serbian reconciliation. This new step by Serbian politics is in accord with the long standing aspiration of Hungary.
