Deputy State Secretary for Development Policy Communication, Nándor Csepreghy stressed that the most recent strategic partnership agreements of the government concluded with mainly large enterprises so far will be expanded and aimed at the SME sector.

He pointed out that the government is planning to make alliances with Hungarian-owned SMEs on purpose since they employ 3.2 million people, that is, 70 per-cent of those working in the economic sector. The main aim is to increase the number of people in employment to 5 million by 2020, and the trilateral cooperation between the state, local municipalities and businesses is necessary in order to achieve that.

Nándor Csepreghy emphasised that the government has announced the beginning of a new Reform Era, where everyone is to receive support from the state who is willing to contribute to the common welfare, and those who wish to get a share from this support only secondarily, have to join the end of the queue. He indicated that the government regards the next period of seven years as one that has not been seen since the Reform Era.
He reminded that back then, industrialization programmes had been launched by involving significant external sources, a basic transport infrastructure had been developed and the Hungarian economy had witnessed a major progress. The Deputy State Secretary recalled that HUF 4000 billion more will be available for Hungary in the 2014-2020 EU funding period than in the previous one.

HUF 12 billion means that the funding of HUF 660 thousand per Hungarian citizen will be increased to HUF 712 thousand. Nándor Csepreghy is of the opinion that money is not worth anything in itself if we do not change the method of how we use it. Consequently, 60 per-cent of total resources are allocated for economic development but the scale of other public investments are diminishing.

He added that the main emphasis will be put on creating workplaces and supporting market access generating more public revenues as a result, which establishes the basis for growth even after 2020 when EU funds will have been exploited. Regarding the pilot project of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Fejér County, the mayor of Székesfehérvár city András Cser-Palkovics pointed out that sustainability will shape the city and the whole world in the next decades. Chamber President Jenő Radetzky said that every forint has been spent wisely and their aim of presenting reconstructions that have taken environmental and energy efficiency considerations into account, has been reached.
