The competitiveness of the Hungarian economy cannot be improved without the sector of agriculture, János Lázár stated in Hódmezővásárhely.
In the evaluation of the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, after trailing at the back, Hungary has broken away from the pack and is now a leader in the management of EU funds, both as regards the publication of calls for proposals and the conclusion of contracts, and the disbursement of funds.
“According to the European Anti-Fraud Office, there were problems with 272 billion forints in contracts out of a total of 400 billion”, Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office János Lázár said at the Governmentinfo 77 press conference, which he held jointly with Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács.
In Makó on Tuesday, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office János Lázár announced that the Prime Minister’s Office has launched proceedings in the Metro 4 fraud case.
“The Government’s Strategic Cabinet has come to a decision on the amendment of the four Acts required to reintroduce the detaining of immigrants; the bill will soon be put before Parliament”, János Lázár said in Makó on Tuesday.

“The report of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) clearly proves the accountability of Hungary’s socialist governments and Budapest’s pre-2010 municipal leaders in the metro 4 corruption scandal”, The Office of the Prime Minister’s Parliamentary State Secretary Nándor Csepreghy said at a press conference in the capital.
