The health care personnel of Liszt Ferenc Airport also checked the body temperature of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on his return from an official visit to Moldova.

A video post on the Prime Minister’s Facebook account shows as workers wearing face masks first check the temperature of the Prime Minister’s wife Anikó Lévai and then that of Mr Orbán by pointing a contactless thermometer at their foreheads, and then acknowledge the results.

In answer to the Prime Minister’s question, the attending health care workers confirmed that, based on the rules, they check the temperatures of all passengers arriving by plane. In answer to another question of the Prime Minister, they observed that recently passenger numbers at the airport had dropped.

On Thursday, Mr Orbán announced in Chisinau that it is in the best interests of the whole of the European Union to form strategic partnerships with the countries lying at its Eastern borders, including Moldova, and to keep the options of EU membership and economic cooperation open. During his official visit, the Prime Minister had talks with Moldovan Prime Minister Ion Chicu. At a business forum held in the afternoon, the parties confirmed that a direct flight could be launched between Budapest and Chisinau.
