During the meeting between Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and former Czech President Václav Klaus in the Parliament Building on Thursday morning, there was agreement between the parties with relation to the nature of the migration crisis that is affecting Europe and on possible ways of managing it, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief, Bertalan Havasi said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI.

Václav Klaus was in Budapest to attend the launch of the Hungarian translation of his book with co-author Jiří Weigl entitled: “Mass Migration - A Guide to Understanding the Current Migration Crisis”, published by Századvég.

At the meeting, the parties reviewed the most important issues on the current agenda of European politics and determined that the mass migration that has been ongoing since 2015 undermines the social and cultural structures that have developed in Europe. Václav Klaus reiterated: Millions of rationally thinking Europeans, including himself, support Hungary’s and Viktor Orbán’s courageous stand with relation to the migration crisis.
