In Valetta on Friday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with President of the Maltese National Party Simon Busuttil. The main topic of their discussion was the deep European migration crisis.
The two politicians agreed that in the management of the crisis Europe seems to be becoming increasingly helpless, and they have both called for action.
They shared the view that a firm European attitude is needed, as people smugglers can quickly change their routes, and therefore the partial results achieved so far – such as protecting Hungary from the influx of migrants – are not sufficient: the situation must be solved in a comprehensive, decisive and sustainable manner.
