“In addition to industry, agriculture represents the key to the development of the Hungarian economy over the next 20 years; Hungary cannot be successful without agriculture”, the Prime Minister declared on Tuesday in Nádudvar, eastern Hungary, at the inauguration of KITE Zrt’s logistics centre.
Viktor Orbán highlighted the national strategic role of KITE, which markets agricultural machinery and equipment, irrigation systems, fertilisers, pesticides, environmental protection technology and other agricultural products, and recalled that the company integrates 75 thousand partners and places significant emphasis on research & development and professional training courses, and accordingly can count on the support of the Hungarian Government.
In recent years,HUF 3 thousand billion (12.2bn euros) have been spent on agricultural development through government funding to help launch various development projects, the Prime Minister said, adding that “today, Hungarian agriculture and rural Hungary are also performing better”.
