The Prime Minister’s asset declaration is lawful, true and complete, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief told the Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday.

He responded to the report of Direkt36 published on Thursday: Viktor Orbán acquired stakes in five Felcsút properties in 2006. While he did state his stakes held in the properties in question in his asset declaration, he failed to state that there are co-owners, despite the fact that, according to the article, this is how he should have proceeded.

Mr Havasi wrote in his comment: „what is stated in Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s asset declaration is true and correct”.
