Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with US President Donald Trump by telephone.

During their conversation, the parties touched upon current foreign policy issues. Among these, they highlighted the importance of the fight against illegal migration and border protection. They also spoke about the situation in the Middle East, Bertalan Havasi, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister announced, adding that Mr Trump asked Mr Orbán to relay “his appreciation to the successful and wonderful Hungarian nation”.
