Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and the General Secretary of European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), Luca Visentini met in Hungary’s Parliament Building on Friday afternoon to discuss, amongst others, the European enforcement of social rights and the Posting Directive, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief, Bertalan Havasi informed the kormany.hu government website.
Topics of discussion at the meeting, which was also attended by Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga, included the wage gap between eastern and western Europe, in addition to which the parties reviewed problems relating to the Posting of Workers Directive.
Prime Minister Orbán informed his guest about the joint Visegrád Group (V4) initiatives relating to the subject, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister stated.
