On Friday at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán informed himself about the possibilities of starting the production of ventilators in Hungary, and viewed the prototype of the equipment, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.
At the invitation of Rector János Józsa, the forum held in the University’s Polymer Engineering Laboratory was attended by Interior Minister Sándor Pintér, Director General of the State Centre for Health Care Supply Miklós Gondos and the heads of several other state agencies responsible for the containment of the coronavirus epidemic. Professors of the University informed the Prime Minister about the status of the development and the concept of the project, and then Head Physician Jenő Elek introduced and assessed the prototype of the equipment. At the event, an account was also rendered of the schedule of serial production to be launched soon, Mr Havasi reported.
