Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received Péter Gáncs, President-Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hungary in his office on Saturday. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Human Capacities Zoltán Balog, the press chief of the Prime Minister informed kormany.hu after the meeting.

Bertalan Havasi wrote in his communique that at the meeting the Prime Minister reassured Mr Gáncs of his utmost appreciation of the members of the Evangelical Church.

The parties further agreed that the Government is happy to support plans which are important from the respect of the future of the Church, including the construction of new churches, the establishment of an evangelical hospital, and the promotion of small religious studies groups, the communique reads.
