On Wednesday Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will travel to Madrid to attend the congress of the European People’s Party.

According to the information published on the EPP website, more than three thousand guests – among them fourteen heads of state and government and eleven members of the European Commission – are expected to attend the conference in the Spanish capital.

The party’s statement lists a number of topics to be discussed at the meeting. In the area of security policy and foreign affairs, these primarily include the threats of migration and terrorism, but economic issues – such as growth, job creation, climate change and the development of EU-US relations – will also be on the agenda.
