Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will attend the funeral of former Head of State Árpád Göncz.

The former President of Hungary died at the age of 93 on 6 October 2015. His final resting place will be in the Cemetery of Óbuda. The eulogy to the former President of the Hungarian Writer’s Association, Speaker of Parliament and President of the Republic of Hungary will be given by his former cell-mate Imre Mécs. Arch-abbot of Pannonhalma Asztrik Várszegi will officiate at the Roman Catholic ceremony.
