Prime Minister Viktor Orbán sent a telegram of condolence to Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy in connection with the Barcelona attack, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief informed kormany.hu.
I was deeply shocked to learn about the terrorist attack committed in the City of Barcelona today. Please allow me to offer my condolences on behalf of the Hungarian people to the relatives of the victims, and to wish the injured a swift recovery, Mr Orbán wrote.
He pointed out: This terrible attack confirms our conviction that the most important task of the period ahead will be to restore the security of Europe and the European people. I can reassure you that my government will continue to support with all means at its disposal our joint struggle against the terrorist attacks that are afflicting Europe, the Hungarian Prime Minister wrote in closing his telegram sent to his Spanish counterpart.
