Strengthening economic cooperation is the next step in Hungarian-Azeri relations.
After arriving in the Azeri capital, at a meeting held in the presidential palace, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said it is always an honour for the Hungarian people to pay a visit to Baku.
The Prime Minister pointed out that there are already Hungarian investments in Azerbaijan, and further opportunities for cooperation are also highly promising.
The Prime Minister also said he appreciates the fact that the Azeri people look upon the Hungarian people favourably.
The Hungarian Prime Minister and the Azeri President further spoke about current European topics. Mr Orbán arrived in the Azeri capital to attend the meeting of the Turkic Council. The meeting will be held on Tuesday.
Members of the Turkic Council are Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Hungary has observer status in the organisation.
