Hungarian-Swiss economic cooperation is free from problems, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Didier Burkhalter, President of the Swiss Confederation concluded at their meeting held in Milan on Friday.

The two leaders held talks in the Italian city as part of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM); the meeting was also attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szíjjártó.

Viktor Orbán and Didier Burkhalter, who currently also holds the office of Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), pointed out that Hungarian-Swiss economic cooperation is free from problems.

They also reiterated that a V4-Switzerland summit will be held at the beginning of December in Bratislava, and noted in this context that cooperation between the Visegrád countries and Switzerland is important for the whole of Europe.

They further discussed the conflict in Ukraine, in connection with which Viktor Orbán stressed that Hungary, too, is interested in a peaceful resolution based on talks, and greatly appreciated the role the OSCE plays in mediation and the management of the situation, the press chief of the Prime Minister’s Office informed the public.
