Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief, has informed kormany.hu that in Malta prior to the congress of the European People’s Party (EPP), Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with the leader of Democratic Party of Albania (a sister party of Fidesz within the EPP).
Lulzim Basha and Viktor Orbán identified Balkan stability as one of the most important issues for Europe’s future, and Hungary is seeking to enhance this with all available means.
During the meeting there was discussion of current European policy affairs and the potential strengthening of Hungarian-Albanian bilateral economic and political relations.
Mr. Orbán and Mr. Basha agreed that the two parties will strengthen cooperation and exchange experience on a regular basis in the future.
