Migration is one of the priorities of the Maltese presidency of the Council of the EU, therefore this issue was at the top of the meeting’s agenda, with special regard to the fact that the congress of the EPP – which Fidesz is also a member of – will also be organised in Malta at the end of March.

During their meeting the Hungarian and French politicians also discussed current domestic policy issues.

Following the meeting Mr. Orbán attended the Centrist Democrat International (CDI) executive meeting in Brussels. The Prime Minister is currently a vice-president of the organisation.
