Bertalan Havasi, Head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister, has informed kormany.hu that in the Parliament building on Tuesday Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with Vasas FC Chairman László Markovits.

The Prime Minister and Mr. Markovits discussed issues concerning the development of the new Illovszky Stadium and the related requests of fans.

Mr. Havasi also said that, after having reviewed the opportunities, the club has decided that the reconstruction works which started some years ago will not be suspended, but all possible changes and expansions will be made that do not affect the completion time, which is scheduled for the beginning of the 2018/19 season.

He added that Mr. Orbán has ensured that the Government will support these efforts and will provide the club with the necessary extra funding.
