On Tuesday Bertalan Havasi, Deputy State Secretary heading the Prime Minister's Press Office, told Hungarian press agency MTI that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has started a tour of the country to express his thanks for the support he received in the general election on 8 April. He will revisit several places he visited during the election campaign.
Mr. Havasi said that the first stop on the Prime Minister’s itinerary was Vajszló in Baranya County, because he wanted to thank villagers for their support , and he thinks that it is symbolic that never since the fall of communism have small Hungarian settlements had as much influence over decisions affecting the country as they have had in 2018.
