This year’s higher education point thresholds have been published; three quarters of applicants have been allowed entry

“This year’s higher education entry point thresholds were published on Thursday. Three quarters of applicants have gained entry to some kind of course”, the Ministry for Innovation and Technology’s State Secretary for Higher Education, Innovation and Vocational Training József Bódis told reporters at a press conference in Budapest following the publication of the entry limits. In accordance with previous practice, students will receive a direct notice by text message after 8 p.m. today, parallel to which the point thresholds will also be available on the felvi.hu higher education application website.
The government is providing 35 billion forints in funding to health industry manufacturing companies

“In September, the Ministry for Innovation and Technology will be publishing a 35-billion-forint (EUR 101 million) tender to facilitate the development of Hungarian health industry manufacturing companies”, the Ministry’s State Secretary for Economic Strategy and Regulation László György said at a press conference in Budapest on Thursday.
“Let’s Clean Up the Country!” project to be launched

“A project is being launched under the name ‘Let’s Clean Up the Country!’, part of which includes the elimination of the illegally dumped waste that has accumulated in recent decades, which will be facilitated by the already available HulladékRadar (‘WasteRadar’) mobile app”, the Ministry for Innovation and Technology’s State Secretary for Construction Economy, Infrastructure and Sustainability Anita Boros announced at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.
Number of registered job-seekers on decrease for five weeks

The number of registered job-seekers has been on the decrease for five weeks as a result of the job creation wage support programme which will contribute to the creation of almost 38,900 new jobs, the Minister of State for Economic Strategy and Regulation at the Ministry for Innovation and Technology said, outlining the progress of the implementation of the Economy Protection Action Plan at a press conference held on Monday in Budapest.

The development of the Budapest-Belgrade railway line has begun

The development of the Hungarian stretch of the Budapest-Belgrade railway line has begun with the coming into force of the construction contract. At a meeting today with enterprises supervising the realisation of the project, Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics said preparations are moving forward according to schedule and the project is expected to be completed by 2025.
