Contrary to the assertions of a Canadian paper “The Ottawa Citizen”, Hungary has always fulfilled its obligations to foot the bill for training its pilots, in line with the current training requirements. The Ministry of Defence has not asked the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) to cover the training cost of Hungarian pilots.

The tanks are withdrawn from service and have been purchased from the Hungarian Defence Forces.
