“The rampaging of pro-immigration politicians is continuing; they always want to cite the UN Global Compact for Migration in all EU documents despite the fact that 9 EU member states did not vote for it”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Sunday in reply to a question from Hungarian news agency MTI.
“Hungary and Slovenia are jointly applying for European Union funding for the interconnection of their natural gas pipeline networks, which would enable Hungary to purchase liquid natural gas (LNG) from Italy”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Saturday in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI.
Hauni Hungary Ltd. announced an 18-million-euro investment on Friday in Budapest; the project will be receiving some 3 million euros in state funding.
“The European Union’s approach to China is hypocritical in view of the fact that cooperation is a pan-European interest, as is the fact that Central Europe should develop its infrastructure while also applying Chinese resources”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to public media in Bucharest, where he is attending a two-day informal meeting of EU foreign ministers.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, who is in the Romanian capital attending an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers, discussed, amongst others, the health risks caused by illegal migration processes with Romanian Health Minister Sorina Pintea at a meeting in Bucharest on Thursday.
“The Outstanding Exporter Partnership Programme has been established via cooperation between the Ministry and nine Hungarian-owned enterprises that significantly contribute to exports; in future, the programme will contribute to increasing export performance”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Wednesday at the ceremonious signing of the agreement in Budapest.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the shift in dimension of the Hungarian economy has been successful: following economic development based on production, increasing emphasis within the economy is now being placed on research, development and innovation.
According to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, the European Union is not only on the wrong track with relation to mandatory resettlement quotas, but is also placing African cooperation into a totally incorrect perspective.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the University of Physical Education (UPE) have concluded a cooperation agreement on reinforcing the international advocacy of Hungarian sports diplomacy.
