“Hundreds of millions of euros in investment will be arriving in Hungary from South Korea in the coming months”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Monday during an official visit to Seoul.
According to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, the best possible agreement was reached concerning the European recovery fund at the EU summit that ended early last week; had it not been the best, Hungary would not have accepted it.
“The government regards Hungarian enterprises as allies in the fight against unemployment”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared in the Hajdú-Bihar County city of Balmazújváros on Friday, where he officially presented Balmaz-Sütöde Ltd. with its funding certificate relating to the company’s 508-million-forint (EUR 1.47 million) development project.
“Relations between Portugal and Hungary are determined by mutual respect, while accepting the fact that we have a different opinion about certain issues”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Thursday in Lisbon at a joint press conference with his Portuguese counterpart Augusto Ernesto dos Santos Silva.
“Although Hungary and Portugal are different in many respects, the realisation of an effective European Union Africa Strategy is in the interests of both countries”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Thursday.

“Microchip developer ARM Hungary Ltd. will be expanding its development centre in Budapest; the company will be able to hire an additional 60 development engineers thanks to the 3-billion-forint (EUR 8.54 million) investment”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.

“Improving the competitiveness of Central Europe requires reinforcing the links between the countries in the region within the fields of both transport and energy, and this is why it is an important step that Hungary and Slovenia will be increasing the number of joint border crossing points and are also placing major emphasis on interconnecting the electricity and natural gas networks of the two countries”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said after receiving Slovenian Minister of Infrastructure Jernej Vrtovec on Wednesday in Budapest.
