At a trade forum organised by the Romanian-Hungarian Business Circle Association (Rocham) in Budapest on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Parliamentary State Secretary said that “Romania is one of Hungary’s important strategic partners; trade flow between the two countries reached 7.3 billion euros last year, a 2.8 per cent increase compared to the previous year”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade expresses its profound disappointment at the news that President of Romania Klaus Iohannis has rescinded the “Star of Romania” state decoration bestowed on László Tőkés – MEP, retired Reformed Church pastor and outstanding representative of Transylvanian Hungarians – by former President of the Republic of Romania Traian Băsescu in 2009 for Mr. Tőkés’ role in the Romanian Revolution of 1989.

Deputy State Secretary for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Ádám Zoltán Kovács gave a speech at a high-level segment of the United Nations Human Righty Council’s (UNHCR) 31st session in Geneva.

The document is the result of several years of preparation.
