At a CIS Business Club event in Budapest, Parliamentary State Secretary László Szabó said that the European Union embargo against Russia is causing great losses to Hungary – as is the Russian response.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and his Czech counterpart Lubomír Zaorálek have emphasised that the Hungarian and Czech economies are well matched, the trend of bilateral trade is showing dynamic growth and the conditions for development of cooperation are outstanding.

Following talks with Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomír Zaorálek in Prague, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared that, in relation to the Ukrainian crisis, Hungary will adhere to the common EU position in opposition to Russia.
In an interview after his negotiations in Baghdad on Monday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said that the command officers of the Hungarian contingent will arrive in Erbil by the end of May, and that the rest of the active contingent will be in Iraq to fight Islamic State by the end of August.
At the Hungarian-Russian economic forum of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI), the Parliamentary State Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Trade said that the Russian market is very important for Hungary, therefore Hungarian enterprises must be ready for the opportunities after the end of the Russian embargo.
At a press conference in Budapest, Parliamentary State Secretary László Szabó stated that: “Nowadays a new international order is taking shape, in which China and the Asian countries are the future”.
Hungary has agreed on a five-point action plan with Belarus with a view to exploring the opportunities inherent in bilateral economic cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said, who held talks with his Belarusian counterpart and the Prime Minister of Belarus in Minsk.
