“Hungary rejects the introduction of socialist-style utopian economic plans through tax harmonisation and the communitisation of debt, but stands up in support of free competition and free trade within the EU”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in Budapest on Thursday at a conference organised by economic daily Világgazdaság.
“The European Union would be poorer and less competitive if it hadn’t taken on the countries of Central Europe”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó explained on Wednesday in Trieste, where he attended a meeting of foreign ministers from the countries of the Central European Initiative (CEI).
“The Hungarian Government expects the Romanian authorities to restore the military cemetery in Úzvölgy to its original state, and to eliminate the violation of sanctity and the vandalization of graves”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Tuesday in Parliament.

“Thanks to the agreements concluded with Russia on Thursday, the quantity of gas required for the operation of Hungarian industry and the heating of homes and houses for 2020 is at our disposal, partly physically, and partly according to agreements”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI following the signing of the contracts at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
