Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó opened a consular representation in the Laotian capital of Vientiane on Friday.
“Bangladesh has one of the world’s largest populations and one of its most rapidly growing economies, and this creates the foundations for us to establish a mutually advantageous economic cooperation, which will create an opportunity for Hungarian enterprises to enter the market in the Southeast Asian country”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI following talks with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Abul Kalam Abdul Momen in Dhaka on Thursday.
“A new alliance has been formed between Malta and Hungary in view of the fact that the two countries have an absolutely identical viewpoint concerning the dilemmas and issues facing the European Union, and are also in agreement with relation to migration”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Wednesday in Valletta at a press conference following a meeting with Maltese Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Evarist Bartolo.
“Hungary and the United Arab Emirates have been able to successfully increase their cooperation despite the fact that objective circumstances have been continuously hindering this in the recent period”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday. The Minister was on an official visit to Abu Dhabi, where he held talks with the UAE’s Foreign Minister, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Minister of State for Food and Water Security, and Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
“In addition to protecting human health, the government’s extraordinary measures are also protecting the economy from the coronavirus”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared on Monday in Kiskunfélegyháza, where he presented a competitiveness-increasing program funding certificate.
“The government of Hungary regards all enterprises that are realising development and investment projects now, in the interests of preserving their workplaces and creating new ones, as allies”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Pannon Vegetable Oil Production Limited’s new vegetable oil refinery plant in the Bács-Kiskun County town of Foktő on Monday. The new plant is being realised with an investment of over 22 billion forints (EUR 61 million) and 1.8 billion forints (EUR 5 million) in state funding.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó emphasised the importance of cooperation between Hungary’s Hajdú Bihar County and Bihar County in Romania, as well as of the participation of Hungarians at Romanian local government elections in Nagyvárad (Oradea) on Friday.
The second motorway border crossing point between Hungary and Romania was officially inaugurated on Friday in the presence of the Hungarian and Romanian Foreign Ministers and the Romanian Minister of Transport.
“From one of Europe’s economies that was lagging behind, the Hungarian economy has become Europe’s fastest growing economy”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared on Friday in Berettyóújfalu, where he presented Mezei-Vill Ltd. with a funding certificate within the framework of the competitiveness-increasing program.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has written a letter to Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei in the interests of Catholic Archbishop of Minsk Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, who was not allowed to return to Belarus from Poland on 31 August.
